FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO DISCOVER THE SECRETS OF SAILING THE SEA. Do you like the idea of sailing holidays but you are still beginners? Entrust yourselves to Sicilying! Our classic sailing courses are held by professional instructors of the Italian Sailing Federation; they will provide you with all the necessary training, both theoretical, and more importantly, practical. Organised courses but also individual lessons, or all-inclusive packages, bareboat sailing with overnight accommodation. Come and experience it for yourself: things will come naturally and you'll find it exciting, fun, and not too difficult!
FOR LOVERS OF FISHING, you cannot miss the chance to fish at sea! Sea fishing is one of the most fun and exciting pastimes that you can enjoy in the summer, but also during the rest of the year. Fishing at sea is also a sport, a challenge for oneself, a challenge with one's prey, and with other fishermen. Custom-making your lines can also use a bit of imagination. Starting from typical Sicilian fisherman villages, such as Acitrezza, you can try trawl fishing with live bait, fishing with the net, or the trawl, or other sea fishing techniques. You will be guided by skilled fishermen, who will show you their daily work-tools and the main techniques, and will introduce you to the various fish species of this island: Groupers, Dotti, Kingfish, Snappers, Sea bass, Bream, White bream, Corvine, Tuna, and many more. Other extraordinary places to practise your fishing are the “Grotto di Capo Boeo” and the “Grotto del Biscione” at Marsala, the fish shoals off the island of Levanzo, the Skerki bank between Sicily and Tunisia, the Talbot and Talbottino banks 30 miles from Marsala, the Pantelleria bank 18 miles from the island of Pantelleria, and Murena about 10 miles from the latter.

Leaving from the port of Catania, you can sail up the East coast of Sicily to reach the magnificent Isola Bella at Taormina, with stops along the way at Aci Castello and Aci Trezza, where the rocks described by Verga are a backdrop to a magic volcanic rock shoreline, and then to Giardini Naxos, the seaside resort famous for its fine golden sand. The view of the majestic Mount Etna will accompany you along the route.
